Company History

The Bartender’s Professional Training Institute, began training students¬† in September of 1992. We are the largest, most successful Professional Bartending Training Company in New York State.¬† The owner has owned and operated restaurants and bars for over 16 years.

Retraining Guarantee

Each student, who has completed the program and paid in full, is invited to repeat any or all of the classes again in order to retrain themselves or refreshen their knowledge at no additional charge. Just call the Institute to make arrangements.

Job Placement Assistance

Upon graduation, each student will receive our job placement assistance network list. This contains the names of over 40 upscale bars, restaurants and hotels in your city that we have agreements with to accept our graduates’ resumes when they send them or bring them in person. Each establishment has agreed to retain our students’ resumes so that when positions arise they can contact them to arrange for personal interviews. We at the Bartender’s Professional Training Institute will do everything possible to assist you in your job search at any time, now or in the future.

Our Team

Dan has been in the bar business for more than 25 years and instructed at BPTI for 15 years. He became the director in 2016 and has worked to create an environment for learning that is student focused. With the end goal of turning out the most prepared bartenders possible, BPTI continues to be the trusted name for bars and restaurants in our markets.

Amy is a 20 year vet in the bar business. During this time she has worked in a variety of establishments and environments. Four years ago she brought her talent and experience to BPTI and has been converting students into bartenders ever since. She continues to tend bar outside of teaching and holds the philosophy that learning should be fun and that tending bar is one of the best ways to network and make money while having a good time.

Dennis launched his bartending career after he graduated from BPTI more than 20 years ago. As a former alum, he brings a unique prospective to the classroom and provides valuable insight to his students. Between instructing and tending bar, Dennis says he loves what he does and couldn't imagine any other career.
